Saturday, April 26, 2008Eagles Trying to Move Up
Report coming from ESPN has the Eagles looking to move from 19 to the 10-15 range in the first round of the draft. Ummm, yes please.
Bills swap with Eagles. Get Sheppard. Then draft a wide receiver. That's probably a fantasy as the Bills a) would have to throw in a second rounder at least and b) pay Sheppard more money than they want to. Nevertheless. It's out there.
Comments:
no way the bills will fork over that kind of dough for shep...oh man, the kid kept me up all night...i'm going to need multiple cups of coffee before i can even consider putting up with kiper's yapping...
did you see that espn intro to the draft? looked like minority report shot in a century twenty-one office...not impressed...
I guess it depends on whether the 'brain trust' thinks this is a win now draft or continue to build draft.
If its a win now draft, get the proven cornerback and then pick up a WR later without giving up too much. If its a continue to build draft, they should just take a corner with the #11 pick and let him develop.
You're absolutely right.

Taking a WR in the #11 spot doesn't do us any good now. So those "win now" folks who think Devin Thomas (who is labeled as a project by most experts) is the answer, will be disappointed. Not saying dude won't be good in a couple years, though. Who knows? << Home |
